|Name: Robert Barnett Newman
Birthplace: New York?
Occupation: Decorative painting: Architectural finishes; Murals
Sorry but I don't know much about Robert Newman's music exploits before joining the Motels. He studied Russian language and English literature while in college in New York, and he was the drummer for the Motels in 1976–1977. At the end of the 1970s he honed his artistic skills as a billboard painter, and made a career working on corporate, film and residential art. He was the lead artist for a gigantic mural for the "Vegas World Hotel" that was the world's largest mural at the time of completion. He recently worked for a Los Angeles architecture firm as a decorative painter and project expeditor.
