David Platshon Mini Biography


David became the new drummer for The Motels on 18 August 1983, moving Brian Glascock to percussion. In his career he also played and recorded with Ike & Tina Turner, Nils Lofgren, Bill Withers, Leon and Mary Russell and Dolly Parton. Later he entered the business world, working for Tel-Art (the first manufacturer of the electronic phone book), Rolodex Corporation, and SNK Home Entertainment. He started FAT BOX video, film, animation and post production in 1995 and now oversees the contractual operations of the company for film and character property development, and joint venture deals in Hollywood and Silicon Valley. His clients include Nortel, Network Associates The Good Guys, Hewlett Packard, Siemens and Electronic Arts.
